1. Introduction
Wardrobe Match is a tool that slows down wardrobe purchase decisions and helps you reflect before you buy.
By accessing the Wardrobe Match website or app, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Statement referenced in them.
2. Who we are
These Terms of Use apply to the Wardrobe Match website, app, and related services operated under the Wardrobe Match name, including anonymous Quick Check and any logged‑in, saved decision features.
3. Age and eligibility
Wardrobe Match is intended for adults. Users must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in their country, where higher) to create an account and use logged‑in features.
If you are under this age, you should not create an account or provide any personal information through the service.
4. Service description and no professional advice
Wardrobe Match provides a pre‑purchase decision tool that helps you consider whether an item belongs in your wardrobe by surfacing duplicate risk, gaps, emotional reflection, and price friction.
Wardrobe Match is not a retailer and does not sell clothing; it offers decision support and pattern visibility only, and does not provide financial, investment, medical, psychological, behavioral, wellness, or professional styling advice. Any decisions you make about purchases or your wardrobe remain your responsibility.
5. Account and access
Anonymous users can run Quick Check without creating an account. Logged‑in users can create an account to save decisions, use the board, profile, and later insight features.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and not share your account with others.
6. User content and licence
When you use Wardrobe Match, you may enter item names, notes, reasons for belonging, emotional reflections, price information, and other decision data.
You retain ownership of this content, but you grant Wardrobe Match a worldwide, non‑exclusive licence to use, store, process, and analyse it as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and to generate anonymised or aggregated insights and statistics, including trend data that may be shared publicly or with third parties in a way that does not identify you personally.
For the purposes of this licence, "anonymised" or "aggregated" data means data that has been processed so that it does not identify, and cannot reasonably be used to identify, any individual user.
Wardrobe Match will not use your individual reflections or decision history to target advertisements at you inside or outside the product.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Use automated tools to scrape or reverse engineer the service beyond what is permitted by law.
- Use Wardrobe Match to harass, discriminate against, or harm others.
Wardrobe Match may suspend or terminate access where it reasonably believes these Terms have been violated.
8. Intellectual property
All software, design, text, branding, and other content in Wardrobe Match, except user‑submitted content, are owned or licensed by Wardrobe Match.
Wardrobe Match grants you a limited, revocable, non‑transferable licence to use the service for personal, non‑commercial wardrobe decision support, subject to these Terms.
9. Paid features and trials
Wardrobe Match may in future offer paid plans for saved decision space, insights, and other premium features.
Any paid plans, billing rules, trial periods, refunds, and cancellation rights will be set out in updated Terms or a separate pricing page and will apply only when you choose a paid plan. Until then, all features are provided without charge and refunds are not applicable.
10. Disclaimers
Wardrobe Match is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Wardrobe Match does not guarantee that using the tool will prevent regrets, financial loss, wardrobe mistakes, or emotional harm, and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation of the service.
Any information or insights provided by Wardrobe Match are for general decision support only and are not professional, medical, psychological, behavioral, or wellness advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Wardrobe Match will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or data, and this limitation applies equally to claims relating to emotional or psychological impact arising from use of the service.
- Wardrobe Match's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the service will be limited to the amount you have paid to Wardrobe Match for use of the service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim (which is zero where you have not paid any fee).
Where consumer protection or other mandatory laws apply and do not allow exclusion or limitation, those rights remain in force and these Terms apply only to the extent permitted.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wardrobe Match, its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your misuse of the service; or
- Any content or data you submit to the service.
This clause does not limit any rights you may have under mandatory local laws.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of a neutral jurisdiction (for example, the State of Delaware, USA), without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory local laws apply and prevail.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute with Wardrobe Match informally by contacting the support address provided on the website.
Where permitted by applicable law, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be finally resolved by binding arbitration or small‑claims court in the governing jurisdiction, on an individual basis and not as part of a class or collective action. This clause does not apply where mandatory local law gives you a right to bring claims in a specific court or format.
14. Privacy and data protection
Use of Wardrobe Match is also governed by the Privacy Statement, which explains what data is collected, how it is used, and the rights available to you.
Region‑specific privacy rights (such as EU/EEA, UK, California, Australia, Brazil, Canada, and others) are described in the Privacy Statement and apply where you are resident.
15. Changes to these Terms
Wardrobe Match may update these Terms from time to time.
The "Last updated" date will change, and where changes are significant, Wardrobe Match will provide additional notice through the website, app, or email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
